2013 Porsche Cayman filmed by Youtube user [Video]

The current generation Cayman maybe serving without any problems, but the model has been on the market since 2006 and is nearing the end of its lifecycle. have been testing camouflaged prototypes of the next generation Cayman for the last year in Germany and a Youtube user Dr GumoLunatic has filmed the car up close in Stuttgart recently.

The mule wears fake body panels and is taped up to hide the design details but despite those attempts one can make out the car's shape and design features are going to change in an evolutionary manner. The next generation Boxster that made it world debut recently has provided inspiration to the new Cayman. It has a slightly longer wheelbase that will lead to better passenger comfort and a marginally bigger boot.
Under the hood, Porsche is likely to retain the same flat-six petrol with direct injection that is available on the Boxster. In the base version the engine displaces 2.7-litres and delivers around 261bhp, while the S version gets a 3.4 liter engine producing 311bhp. Later during its life, Porsche is expected to bring out the R version which is the lighter and sportier model.
The 2013 Porsche Cayman is expected to break cover during the Los Angeles Auto Show in November this year.
